  The Saenger Theatre will provide a wide variety of programming to serve the entire community. The facility will be available for use by performing arts organizations, presenters and promoters from across New Orleans, the region and the nation. Emphasis will be placed on providing a mix of performance genres and disciplines, with active partnership with local agency groups.

• Technological Upgrades

  Installing the proper technological improvements and upgrades is critical to attracting the very best national and international performing arts attractions to the Saenger stage. The new expanded theatre stage house will increase the functionality of the venue to accomplish this task.

  The modernization and upgrading of the Saenger’s technical systems includes:

  • New and expanded stage house to include a deeper stage, higher gridiron and new fly system
  • New backstage support facilities to include new dressing rooms, equipment storage, production offices and other back of house support)
